About (disclaimer)

I'm just an ordinary layperson who has found herself, well, in short, on the outside. This blog will be about the journey from there to here, where there was and here is, and trying to make sense of it all. This blog is NOT a whining and complaining blog. If you think I'm whining and complaining then you're reading it wrong. This is really just a series of statements about what I saw and went through and how I became disenchanted with the modern Reformed church. Of course, I know there are good Reformed churches out there. I'm happy if you've found one. I haven't had that experience. So little so that I will be hard-pressed to pass through the doors of another one for several more years. I will not name names since this blog is not a vindictive blog. I might link to an article that is pertinent to what I'm going through and that might have a name but it won't have anything to do with my feelings about that person.

I'm not a school educated person. I graduated high school...barely. My grammar's not that great, and my punctuation's worse. If you are looking for a polished argument, keep looking. If you've happened upon this blog and have had similar experiences you are welcome to share them in the comments. I request no flames of other folks or myself. Flames will be deleted. Repeated flamers will be blocked.

I'm kinda chuckling at that last paragraph since I have no intention of promoting my blog by commenting on other blogs, etc. Again, this really is just a place I'm working out in writing so that maybe I can make some sense of it all. So if you've found it, glean what you can.

One other thing (see, I told you I couldn't write worth beans) I am still a Calvinist, hence the sub-title. While I have not stuffed my Calvinism down deep, it isn't a subject I broach at our current church. I disagree with the leadership on some points, but my family needs a place to detox after 20 years of, well, whatever it was we went through.
